The Glass Man

YDRR-23 is southbound at Cicotte Road in Lincoln Park. MI, February 1999. This was once the middle of the Pennsylvainia Railroad's Lincoln Yard, which was pulled up in the 1980's. He is breaking with tradition this day by using something besides a GP15 to do his work. Nowadays, the most common power is a PRR GP15. The sand hoppers, however, are standard operating procedure, bound for Gaurdian Glass in Carleton. He is often refered to as "The Glass Man" by Conrail Rouge Yardmaster on the radio.
