Trains from Grand Trunk Western, Canadian Pacific, Conrail, Norfolk Southern, and CSX ply the rails of Delray. The junction sees about 80-100 movements a day of some 60-80 trains.
For our record keeping, a movement counts as each time a train passes through the junction, even if it has passed before.
An approximate breakdown of traffic is as follows:
What type of freight traffic will you see at Delray? EVERYTHING! You can get Manifest, Coal, Steel, Coke, Intermodal (piggyback, doublestack and Roadrailers), Autorack trains, and Autoparts trains. Locals and transfer runs share track time with priority intermodals here. CSX runs some of their yard jobs with cabooses.
