Conrail 5516 at NS Ecorse Junction
in scenic Detroit, Michigan

A PDL Steel train (Fairless PA - Rouge Steel) on the Conrail Junction Yard Branch crosses the NS main at Ecorse Junction on February 19th, 1999. Soon he will take his loads to the Rouge Steel mill at the mighty Ford Rouge Complex in Dearborn, Michigan. The track on the left is a spur into the Salt Mine off of the Junction Yard Branch; The PDL train is on the Junction Yard Branch (now called the Junction Yard Secondary); the two tracks in the middle are the NS Detroit District; and the track on the right is the Conrail Lincoln Secondary.
