Here we are facing northwest. This track ends a few hundred feet short of the Ryan Road Crossing, north of 22 Mile Road just past Packard Yard (Ryan Road is just beyond the clearing in the second photo; the Johnson Control plant is to the left, behind the overgrowth.). This whole area is zoned light industrial, with lawn care companies and junk yards taking up the stretch. There's even a brickyard, but none of these receive rail service, only the Ford plant does. This track, which once went through to Rochester, Oxford and then to Bay City and Mackinaw, was pulled up by Conrail in 1986.
This is the northern end of the Conrail Detroit Shared Assets Area.
