YDRR-50

The morning sun shines bright on this YDRR-50 heading to Rouge Yard at the Great Lakes Road crossing on the Conrail Marsh Track in Ecorse, Michigan. A duo of GP15-1 , CR 1678 and CR 1682 (in Operation Lifesaver paint) are pulling loaded NSAX coil steel cars. These coils were still radiating heat waves; they were literally "hot off the press" (rollers actually) from Great Lakes Steel. They will be blocked on the afternoon GLM train to Portage, Indiana. 10:50am April 10, 1999.
