YDRR-23 at Huron River Drive

RR-23, The Glass Man, is southbound at Huron River Drive in Ash Township 4/6/97. That this part of Michigan is a flat, marshy lake bed is clearly in evidence here. He is not far from his destination, the Gaurdian Glass plant in Carleton. The rather wide right of way here is evidence that a passing siding once existed at this location. The CT1000 dated Nov. 1st, 1923 says "Station no. 115R....River Road (Passing Siding)....[milepost]115.2".
