One of the products of the GTW GP18 rebuild program trundles engline-light northward on the River Spur through Wyandotte Michigan in the last light of a June evening in 2000. In addition to hosting shipyards, this was once the heart of the Downriver chemical industry. Today, Wyandotte is a residential area with some light industry which is served by Ford Yard in Wyandotte (less than a mile south of here) and Edison Yard in Trenton.
The Conrail Detroit Line #2 main is to the right, and beyond that is the Detroit Line #1 main and the CNIC Shoreline Subdivision. We still refer to these rails as The DT&I, Conrail, and the Shore Line, respectivly.
