A Brief History of Ohio
Transportation

This is the subject of either a very serious book of history or of a scholarly dissertation, neither of which do I feel qualified to present to you at this time. What I can do for now, though, is point you to some very interesting websites regarding early modes of transportation. They also relate to Ohio Geography, which presented important considerations in the building of early canals, roads, and railroads.

I hope they inspire your curiosity as they have mine.
