The third locomotive in this consist was the only Lehigh Valley unit that I ever saw. I confess envy for those folks who lived with the LV every day. This stretch of railroad, which was to become known as the Conrail Chicago Line, was remarkably quiet at midday. Mornings and evenings were better, but nighttime was train time.
