The date of this photograph is unknown, but we know that the location is near Galitzin, by AR tower, in God's own corner of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvanina. 6425 is a PRR class J1a built at the railroad's Juniata Shops in Altoona in August 1943. Its construction number was 4482, meaning that it was almost within the last 100 engines built there (the final one was PRR class T1 5524 in August 1946, with construction number 4584).
