Old Ann Arbor
Collected Random Images

This is a collection of photographs from the shoebox that that have little or no context with the theme of Our Gal. We know that some of these have something to do with her as an adult, but we can only speculate as to how. Others appear to have been collected by her mother or an aunt a few years before Our Girl's birth. We have no way of knowing if the subjects are family or friends.

About the place names and persons in these photographs we know precious little, and in most cases, absolutly nothing. We are therefore free to weave our own tales and our own impressions to project upon them, or to simply enjoy them for the sake of enjoying them as old photographs, as someone else's memory, as our collective memory.

Handwritten note: "5-45"

Our first desire is for the facts. Failing those, we are limited only by our imagination and visceral sense of history.
